The tawny frogmouth - Podargus strigoides - are interesting and unusual birds. They have piercing stares with yellow eyes and can sit in one position for long periods of time to avoid being seen with their camouflaged feathers against rough tree trunks. This 'Tawny' is giving the viewer a definite 'vibe' with this engaging glare whilst she stretches her wing out. It can be noted that whilst all male tawny frogmouths tend to the more greyer scale of feather colour the females can have more browner tonings.
